Bananas are grown in all different parts of the world, including India, Asia, Latin/South America, and Africa. Although India does grow the most bananas, they are actually not the largest exporter of them because most of what is grown is consumed by those inside the country.
During the 1990s, Asia became the top producer of bananas and countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, China, and Philippines are well known for their banana production. Other countries like Costa Rica, Colombia, and Brazil as well as Ecuador are major producers of bananas too. This fruit is grown all over the world, though there are certainly some places that grow and export more than others.
