Is Salmon High In Sodium?

For every 3 ounces of salmon there is about 63 mg of sodium which is a fairly high amount. Those who are on a low-sodium diet will definitely want to think about limiting the amount of salmon they eat on a regular basis.

Even though there are many good things about this type of fish nutritionally-speaking, it is very high in sodium and should therefore be avoided by those who are trying to limit the amount of sodium they put in their bodies as much as possible. Salmon does however contain things like omega-3 fatty acids along with various vitamins and minerals that are certainly good for the body in a number of ways.
