Is Salmon An Oily Fish?

Salmon along with other types of fish like herring, sardines, and trout are all considered to be oily fish. This means that when we eat certain types of fish, we are also eating the oils inside of them which are usually found in the liver.

Although oily foods may not sound like they are very good for you, the truth is that salmon is very good for you in a number of ways, including the fact that it is very high in protein which is something that the body needs a significant amount of in order to function properly. Although salmon may be considered an oily type of fish, it still has a lot to offer nutritionally.
