Is Salmon Acidic Or Alkaline?

There are certain foods which are considered acidic in nature and those which are classified as alkaline. Salmon falls more under the “acidic” category on the pH scale which measures acidity. Other foods that have a high acid content include corn oil, olive oil, cranberries, rice cakes, wheat cakes, cheese, lobster, beef, and carp.

It is important for those who have problems with acid reflux/heart burn to stay away from acidic foods because it can easily worsen this condition. Although salmon is very nutritious and filled with protein as well as a lot of other great things, it is fairly acidic and not ideal for those who are already struggling with acid reflux.
