Salmon along with other types of fish have what is called “Omega-3 fatty acids” in them which have been proven to help lower triglycerides which are the truly bad type of fat that is found in the bloodstream. These omega-3 fatty acids may also be able to slow down the development of plaque in the arteries which is a common cause of heart attack among many people.
