Although there are certainly many nutritional benefits to eating this type of meat, it does contain quite a bit of fat, cholesterol, and sodium. This is precisely why it is good to limit one’s consumption of pork as much as possible.

Pork has more sodium than over 60% of foods, which is quite a bit when you take the time to think about it. Although there are certainly other pork-based foods that contain more sodium, it still has a significantly high amount.
