Is Garlic Genetically Modified?

Sometimes garlic like other foods is genetically modified in order to withstand insects so they do not destroy them when they are in the growing process. Although this is not always the case, sometimes they are genetically modified. The effects of genetically modified foods has not yet been sufficiently studied and so we therefore are not sure about the long term effects they have on the body.

Currently there is a lot of debate as to whether or not genetically modified foods should be labeled as such in order to let the public know what exactly they are eating. There are a number of benefits to genetically modifying certain foods, though there is still a lot of controversy surrounding it due to the fact that their effects on the human body still haven’t been thoroughly studied.
