Is Butter High In Cholesterol?

Butter is considered to be fairly high in cholesterol because it is made from animal fat and therefore contains a high amount of saturated fat and cholesterol. Margarine on the other hand is a good alternative for those who want to stay healthy and get the same good taste without having to feel guilty about it. Margarine is high in all of the “good” fats which are actually health for our bodies.

Butter is filled with the “bad” kind of fat that you don’t want to put too much of in your body. It is filled with what is called low-density lipoprotein which is considered to be a bad type of cholesterol that you want to avoid putting into your body at all costs. High cholesterol levels can lead to a number of health problems later on, which is why it is so important to find healthy alternatives.
