Is Asparagus A Fruit?

Asparagus is classified as a fruit but rather a vegetable because of the fact that it does not grow from a flower and does not contain seeds whatsoever. Fruits such as apples and oranges contain seeds inside them unlike asparagus and all other vegetables.

This particular vegetable is part of the lily family and has a variety vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients which are good for the body. Although vegetables in general tend to be good for you, asparagus has a lot of things that our bodies need to help fight off cancer, deal with inflammation, and strengthen the body in a number of different ways.
