Does Pepper Cause Ulcers?

Numerous studies have concluded that if enough black pepper is consumed over a long enough period of time, it can actually cause problems with stomach ulcers. Although this may not be the case for everyone who eats pepper, some people who eat a very significant amount of it on a regular basis could develop stomach ulcers.

While this may be the case, black pepper does have certain antibacterial and anti-carcinogenic properties which can actually prevent certain types of cancer and infections. Overall it is recommended that you not eat a lot of pepper on a regular basis, though a little bit could actually be beneficial or your health as a whole.
