Can Butter Cause Diabetes?

It is important for everyone to understand that butter nor any other type of food can directly cause diabetes, but rather the weight gain that comes along with eating fattening and unhealthy foods. Because butter has so much fat in it, around eighty percent total, it can contribute significantly to weight gain for those who eat too much of it.

With significant weight gain comes a lot of different health problems, including diabetes. In order to avoid developing diabetes altogether it will be important to cut down on fattening foods like butter. While it may be true that butter has no transfats or carbs in it, it still has a very high amount of regular fat which can easily lead to weight gain over time.
