Are Cherries Bad For Dogs?

Dog owners should avoid giving their pets cherries because of the fact that they contain chemicals which are essentially a type of cyanide.

They are widely considered to be poison for these animals and you should avoid giving them to yours, no matter what breed they are or what they regularly eat. Another reason that cherries are bad for dogs is because some of them contain seeds which can be difficult for some smaller down to swallow and digest.

As a whole, cherries are a bad idea for all dogs and you should not give them to your pet under any circumstances.
