Are Blackberries And Mulberries The Same Thing?

There are actually quite a few differences between blackberries and mulberries, including the fact that mulberries are from the “morus” genus whereas blackberries are from the “rubus” genus.

Mulberries are deciduous trees which are native to Asia as well as Europe and Africa, whereas blackberries are a perennial plant which are commonly found in South America and the temperate Northern hemisphere.

Yet another difference between these two berries is the fact that mulberries are significantly larger than blackberries and have a sort of oval shape, whereas blackberries are almost perfectly round in shape and look noticeably different as a whole.
