Can Garlic Be Frozen?

Garlic can definitely be frozen though there are a few different things you should remember when you are going about having it frozen, such as the fact that you will be able to freeze the whole pieces of fresh garlic you get from the store with unpeeled heads and the cloves removed as needed.

Those who are storing crushed garlic in a freezer will want to wrap it up tight in plastic wrap, breaking off whatever is needed. There is always the option of peeling whole cloves of garlic and using them in a blender or even a food processor. You can cover your freshly peeled garlic cloves with a certain type of oil and put it in the freezer for maximum preservation and flavor retention.
