Are Blueberries Genetically Modified?

Some companies decided to genetically modify blueberries in order to make them resistant to certain insects which destroy crops and make it extremely difficult for them to grow. Genetically modified fruits and vegetables, including blueberries, do not need to be sprayed with dangerous pesticides because of the fact that they have been modified genetically to resist problems with insects which can be a serious problem for non GM fruits/crops.

There is still quite a bit of controversy surrounding genetically-modified foods like blueberries because of the potential long term health risks which still remain somewhat unknown because of the lack of studies which have been done on them.

For the moment, genetically modified blueberries are not on the market, and they won’t be anytime soon.

  1. Where are you getting your information? I have never seen any indication that blueberries are GMOs?

  2. Watch the truth about GMOs. Blueberries need to be well washed but are not genetically modified yet. All genetic modified foods cause cancer and immune diseases due to the fact they cause leaky gut. Playing God has disastrous effects. Man needs to learn that he is not smarter than God.

  3. GM fruits and veggies are not bad for you. This is a myth…organic foods are actually less nutritious than GM foods. And God made us in his image with the ability to reason, learn, and create.
